Cosmetic Pigments

Our Cosmetic Pigments are a collection of mineral earths and oxides that are cosmetic-certified and safe for use in powder-based cosmetics such as foundation, pressed powder, blush, and eyeshadow. You can even make your own lip gloss 👄 or use the pigments to create your own nail colour 💅.

Create your own makeup, water-activated powders, lip balm, or nail colour using natural, sustainable, and non-toxic pigments. Perfect for beginners or anyone starting a do-it-yourself business!

Pigments suitable for cosmetic use.
Made in France.

Our small pouches of cosmetic pigments are sold by volume. The values indicated on the labels (e.g. 80 ml / 2.7 oz) refer to volume, not weight. Because each pigment has a different density, the weight may vary from one pigment to another.

Our larger cosmetic pigment bags are sold by weight in 500 g (1 lb) sizes.

Create Your Own Coloured Lip Gloss

Makes about 6 x 30 ml clear containers (with lids) or containers of your choice

Ingredients

  • ½ cup white beeswax beads
  • 2 Tbsp oil of your choice (coconut, olive, almond, etc.)
  • 1 to 3 tsp cosmetic pigment
  • Optional: a few drops of vitamin E or an edible essential oil (such as peppermint or almond)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix your cosmetic pigment with the oil until fully blended. The more pigment you add, the deeper the colour will be.
  2. Place the beeswax in a heat-safe bowl over a pot of gently simmering water (a double boiler). Stir until just melted — avoid overheating to maintain the right colour and texture.
  3. Remove the melted beeswax from the heat and stir in the coloured oil, vitamin E, and essential oil.
  4. Work quickly, as the wax will begin to set.
  5. Pour the prepared mixture into your containers and let it cool completely.

DIY Blush or Eyeshadow Cream

Makes two small 30 ml containers. You can multiply this recipe for a larger batch or divide it to create multiple colours.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp shea butter
  • 1 tbsp oil of your choice (olive, almond, coconut, or jojoba)
  • ½ tsp white beeswax beads
  • 1 tsp cosmetic pigment
  • (Optional) Vitamin E or essential oils

Instructions

  1. Combine the shea butter, oil, and beeswax beads in a small heat-safe bowl.
  2. Melt the mixture using a double boiler (or in short 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring between each).
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Add the cosmetic pigment and mix well. You can blend pigments to create custom colours.
  5. For a lighter tint, start with half the pigment, test the shade once cooled, and adjust by remelting and adding more as needed.
  6. Pour into small containers and let cool completely before covering.
