Tips for using glitter in your project
- Use fine polyester glitter for smooth, elegant shimmer (chunky glitter can look uneven).
- Paint over a similar-colored base coat — glitter looks best when the wall underneath is a complementary color (e.g. silver glitter over light gray, gold glitter over beige, etc.).
- Mix the glitter directly before painting, because it can settle to the bottom if left sitting
- Stir occasionally during painting to keep glitter suspended

How to Use Polyester Glitter in Cement
Option 1 – Surface Sprinkle Method (Best Results)
- Mix and pour your cement (like Cement All, mortar, or concrete).
- When it’s just starting to set — surface is firm but still slightly damp — sprinkle polyester glitter evenly across the surface.
- Gently press it in with a trowel or gloved hand.
- Let it cure normally.
- Once dry, seal it with a clear concrete sealer or epoxy topcoat — this locks in the glitter and restores shine.
Advantages:
- Glitter stays at the surface (visible and bright).
- You can control sparkle density.
- Minimal waste and dulling.
Option 2 – Mixed-In Glitter (For Casting or Polished Pieces)
- Add 1–2 tablespoons of polyester glitter per 2 cups of dry mix (adjust depending on the look).
- Mix gently with dry cement first, then add water.
- Pour or cast as usual.
- Once cured, polish or sand the surface lightly to expose glitter.
- Seal with a clear acrylic or epoxy sealer to bring out shine.
