This pigment can be used in a variety of applications:
- Limewash paint: up to 10% of the binder weight. Dilute in lukewarm water before mixing with the paint.
- Fine arts: grind finely in a mortar before mixing with the binder.
- Plaster & cement: up to 10% of the binder weight.
- Linseed oil: dissolve in a small amount of turpentine before adding.
- Glazes
This pigment is 100% synthetic, with no known risks to health or the environment.
It produces a rich vermilion red in transparent binders such as linseed oil, and a fresh, bright pink when used in opaque binders like our lime paint (as shown in the photo).
