Whiting Powder is a very versatile material with many traditional and modern uses. Also known as "White of Spain", "white of chalk", "Calcium Carbonate" or "Blanc de Meudon". It is a chalk, inorganic natural filler for paints and crafts and often used in woodworking and cleaning purposes.
Calcium carbonate is one of the most abundant minerals on Earth and accounts for about 4% of the Earth’s crust. It can be found in nature in three principal rock types: chalk, limestone, and marble. Natural, very fine ground calcium carbonate with an intermediate and closely sized particle distribution.

It is used in traditional artistic painting, lime painting, coating and plaster.

Whiting Powder is used as a pigment filler to increase the coverage of paints, coating and whitewash.
