DECORATIVE GLAZE & PROTECTIVE COAT
97% natural decorative glaze that can also be used as light protection on lime plasters and whitewashes.
APPLICATION:
-Apply on dry, clean, and dust-free surfaces.
-Apply only on interior/ exterior surfaces of natural paints or coatings. Do not apply on synthetic paints.
-Apply in very thin layers using a Spalter brush (flat and fine brush). Stretch the product (do not “overload” the brush) in order to avoid whitish traces. Wipe the glaze with a soft cloth if required.
-Use a maximum of 15% pigment volume. It is best to pass the first coat with very little pigment and adjust the dosage for subsequent layers.
-Appropriate temperatures for application, between 7°C and 27°C (45°F and 80°F).
-Brushes and tools can be cleaned with soap and water.
DRYING TIMES:
-Between 6 and 12 hours depending on the room’s temperature and humidity level.
-The look/definitive coverage is obtained only after the glaze is completely dried. Respect stipulated drying times; it is imperative to have a fully dry surface before applying the next coat.
-The slight odor due to the natural ingredients disappears once drying is complete.
INGREDIENTS:
Lime water, methylcellulose, ammonia, bactericidal without formaldehyde, 3% synthetic resin, and essential oils.
DILUTION:
Dilute with water, from 5 to 10%, according to the porosity of the surface and desired consistency. The more porous the surface, the more water needs to be added. The glaze must have good fluidity when ready to apply. Be careful not to dilute the product too much.
COVERAGE:
100 to 150 sqft (10 -15 m²) per litre depending on the surface's porosity and the dilution of the glaze.
