Pigment Catechu
Catechu is used to create wood stains that range from bright browns to reddish browns.
Catechu is a vegetal pigment, extracted from pods of Acacia trees. It is very resistant to light and easily diluted in water. It is also known as cutch, black cutch, cachou, cashoo, khoyer, terra Japonica or Japan earth.
Catechu is high in natural vegetable tannin and may be used for the tanning of animal hides.
